Surfacing

I’m an ocean lover. Swimming, floating, observing, being battered by waves, submerging…. It’s all therapy for me. This was my first piece in my Elements Collection and my favorite. I wanted to paint the feeling of freely floating up from the depth of the ocean floor after being sunken for so long. It also translates a hearts resilience and one’s capacity to withstand or to recover from pain, swim up from the depths of it, recover.
